#EarthDay
As global temperatures quickly approach 1.5 degrees Celsius average warming, every industry must make great strides toward systemic change to support the World’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets. We are excited to have taken the first steps towards baselining and making public our environmental and social impacts with the publishing of our 2021 Sustainability Report.
The Earth Day 2022 theme, “Invest in Our Planet,” is boldly focused on accelerating solutions to combat our greatest threat, climate change, and to activate everyone - governments, citizens, and businesses - to recognize our collective responsibility and do their part to help accelerate the transition to an equitable, prosperous green economy for all.

At Heliolytics, climate action is at the heart of everything we do. Our Vision is: Applied curiosity to empower a net-zero carbon society. We strive to be the most trusted source of actionable insights enabling the long-term sustainability of our renewable energy partners. We are on a mission to empower the next generation of solar by focusing on the reliability and resiliency of solar energy assets to ensure the industry can continue to deploy at the rate required to meet global demand for solar, in a sustainable manner. Although we operate in an industry inherently attuned to reducing GHG emissions, we understand that we have a greater role to play in ensuring an equitable and environmentally sustainable future for all.
“Heliolytics knows that we, in part, are accountable for managing and guiding the growth of the solar industry in a positive direction so that it can expand at the rate required to prevent the worst effects of climate change.”
- Rob Andrews, CEO of Heliolytics
In the wake of the recent publication of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) alarming Sixth Assessment Report Climate Change 2022: Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability, we recognize the timeliness of releasing our inaugural 2021 Sustainability Report. As global temperatures quickly approach 1.5 degrees Celsius average warming, every industry must make great strides toward systemic change to support the World’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets. We are excited to have taken the first steps towards baselining and making public our environmental and social impacts with the publishing of this report. Not only are we looking to reduce our environmental footprint, but we are also working to bolster our positive contributions and maximize social good where possible for our people, partners, and communities.
As a leader in solar photovoltaic (PV) direct current (DC) health services, we are proud to be the first in our industry segment to publish a sustainability report. We believe that this is a critical step to identifying and increasing our understanding of our strengths and gaps in ESG and holding ourselves accountable for enacting positive change. We hope to see increasing adoption of such practices by other organizations operating in the PV space.
Heliolytics 2021 Sustainability Highlights
Heliolytics has been making a positive impact across our company, communities, and the renewable energy industry. Our inaugural sustainability report highlights our commitment to contributing to decarbonizing the global energy grid and increasing the resiliency of the solar energy industry. We bolster resiliency by staying at the forefront of aerial inspection services and site-specific issue identification and remediation for our solar asset partners. As we scale our services to support larger volumes of solar energy production, we are scaling our contributions to the fight against climate change.

Total reported Scope 3 GHG emissions for 2021 were measured using CO2 and CO2 equivalent emissions. To mitigate our carbon emissions resulting from our operations, we purchased 220 metric tonnes of carbon offsets from Canada’s leading carbon management solutions provider, Ostrom Climate.
